Writing an anecdote

Well, on Thursday, our teacher asked us to do a writing about an anecdote which could belong to our life or could be invented. Thinking about it I decided to talk about an anecdote which happened when I was younger.

"One spring day in Valencia, when I was coming back from University, I realized that a girl was looking at me in a persistent way. At the moment I was happy, because I have to admit I have never been successful with women. Besides that, the girl was (is) a very good looking girl.

However, the girl continued staring at me while we were walking and enjoying this beautiful spring day. I started to think that this situation was unreal and I suspected that something odd was going on. I can remember I blushed, because of her strong way of watching me.

Later I thought that most likely was that, she didn't like me and she knew me.

The situation would end very soon (for me extremely soon), two or three streets ahead, when the girl decided to speak to me. She asked me if I was from Almería, and it was one of the weirdest situations I've ever lived. I wondered if  I had written on my face the word "Almería".

In the end, the girl was from Almería as well, and she knew me because when I was a teenager, I used to buy in her parent’s shop. She had came to Valencia to end her degree at my University in February (the previous month), and she needed to make new friends. I was a little bit disappointed, but I introduced her to my friends, who felt very fortunate.

However, the luckiest of my friends was Fran, he married her a few years ago.

In spite of this, the story has a happy ending, she is my friend at present. Besides being a stunning girl she is a very nice person."
